SL's 'Dhamma Bridge' initiative commends India's Classical Status for Pali at 'Damsak Daruwo' launch
Sri Lanka, July 29 -- At the launch of the 'Damsak Daruwo' educational programme recently, key organisers expressed deep gratitude to the Indian Government for its landmark decision to grant Classical Language status to Pali, praising India's genuine dedication to revitalising ancient Buddhist linguistic heritage in the region.
The event, held at the Pali and Sanskrit Cultural Exchange Centre, marked the inaugural session of 'Damsak Daruwo' under the visionary 'Dhamma Bridge' initiative. The Centre, recognised as the world's first and only institute dedicated specifically to Pali and Sanskrit cultural exchange, organised the programme to instill Dhamma-based values and classical language knowledge in Sri Lankan youth.
