Sri Lanka, April 29 -- An investigation has been launched into a missing payment of US$ 625,000 made by Sri Lanka Post to the United States Postal Service, Cabinet Spokesman, Health and Mass Media Minister Dr. Nalinda Jayatissa said yesterday.Sri Lanka Tourism

Addressing the weekly Cabinet press briefing, the Minister stated that the US Postal Service had informed Sri Lankan authorities that US$ 625,000, which was due to be remitted to them, had not been received.

He further noted that, accordingly, both Sri Lanka Post and the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) have commenced investigations into the incident.
