The visit happened following the decision of the Supreme Court of Saudi Arabia to set aside the death sentence imposed on Sivarasa.

During the visit, the Ambassador held discussions with Sivarasa regarding the consular and legal assistance in connection to the upcoming court proceedings, with a view to ensuring that he is adequately briefed on the judicial process.

The discussions focused on the importance of understanding the forthcoming legal proceedings and ensuring that all relevant matters are appropriately addressed through the established legal process.
