Sri Lanka, May 12 -- The Fisheries, Aquatic and Ocean Resources Ministry said that obstacles to exporting Sri Lankan Blue Swimming Crab to the US market have been cleared, as Sri Lanka successfully met the stringent conditions imposed under the Marine Mammal Protection Act (MMPA).Sri Lanka Trade Report

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), operating under the US Department of Commerce, has officially notified that Sri Lanka's Blue Swimming Crab harvesting processes and related regulations are comparable in effectiveness to US standards.
