Sri Lanka, Oct. 15 -- Prime Minister Dr. Harini Amarasuriya met Chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) Wang Huning, in Beijing on October 13.

The Prime Minister extended her appreciation for the invitation to attend the Global Leaders' Meeting on Women and expressed gratitude for the hospitality extended to her delegation. She also conveyed greetings on the 76th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China, commending China's remarkable progress and social stability achieved over the past decades under the leadership of the Communist Party of China.
