Sri Lanka, Aug. 6 -- SJB MP Mujibur Rahman told Parliament yesterday that the fate that befell former IGP Deshabandu Tennakoon is a good lesson for all public officials who try to implement unlawful decisions to pacify politicians.
"We as SJB have no problem with the proposal to remove Deshabandu from the post. When his name was proposed to the Constitutional Council to appoint as IGP, Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa and MP Kabir Hashim voted against it.
