Sri Lanka, Oct. 27 -- Over 60 percent of the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna's (SLPP) electorate-level branch committees nationwide have now been established under the guidance of National Organiser MP Namal Rajapaksa, according to party National Convener D. V. Chanaka MP.Follow Politics

Speaking at a progress review meeting for the party's affiliated bodies, Chanaka added that 50 percent of its auxiliary organisations are also operational. He noted that the remaining 40 percent of branch committees will be set up by early next year, alongside plans to conduct 4,000 electoral division meetings by mid-year.
