Sri Lanka, Jan. 10 -- The Seventh House is one of the two Marakasthanas (death-inflicting houses). The other Marakasthana is the Second House.

Venus is the Karaka, or significator, for the Seventh House. Saturn attains Digbala (directional strength) in this house. The Seventh House also represents the western direction and the pelvic region of the body.

If the lord of the Seventh House is in its own sign or in exaltation, the spouse or marriage will be a source of happiness to the native.

If the Seventh House lord joins Rahu or Ketu and is aspected by Mars or Saturn, while Venus is afflicted or badly placed, the native may become immoral from an early age.
