SriLanka, Sept. 9 -- Sri Lankan shuttler Dumindu Abeywickrama won the bronze medal at the Cameroon International Challenge Badminton Championship held in Cameroon last week. With this achievement Dumindu has move up to men's single world ranking 80th position in the latest ranking issued by World Badminton Federation (BWF) yesterday.

Dumindu was able to reach the semi final in the Cameroon International Championship after won the quarter final against Switzerland opponent Tobias Kuenzi in two straight sets (21-18, 21-7). In the semi final Sri Lankan shuttler once again battled a tough two setter semi final over Indian shuttler Tankara Guana Dattu Talasila.
