Sri Lanka, March 26 -- The Department of Meteorology says showers or thundershowers are expected at a few places in the Western and Sabaragamuwa provinces and in the Galle and Matara districts after 2.00 p.m. today (26).

According to the department, mainly dry weather will prevail across most other parts of the island.

Misty conditions are also likely at several locations in the Central, Sabaragamuwa and Uva provinces, as well as in the Galle and Matara districts during the early hours of the morning.

The department urged the public to take adequate precautions to minimise damage caused by temporary localised strong winds and lightning during thundershowers.
