Sri Lanka, Aug. 4 -- Sri Lanka Police reported that a 11-year-old girl died after fainting on a school bus due to a sudden illness. The incident occurred after school when the girl boarded the bus and suddenly collapsed. She was rushed to Kekirawa Hospital following the incident; however, she passed away while receiving treatment.

Her body has been placed in the morgue of Anuradhapura Teaching Hospital for a post-mortem examination. The exact cause of death is still to be determined. Body specimens have been sent to a medical examiner for further analysis, and an open verdict has been issued. Subsequently, the girl's body has been released to her guardians, according to police.
