Sri Lanka, Feb. 12 -- The Supreme Court has officially concluded the proceedings regarding the controversial 2024 appointment of Deshabandu Tennakoon as Inspector General of Police (IGP).
Today, the court moved to close the case following an affidavit submitted by President Anura Kumara Dissanayake.
The petitioners agreed to end the hearing based on the fresh facts presented in the President's submission.
The case was presided over by a three-member bench consisting of Chief Justice Preethi Padman Surasena and Justices Achala Wengappuli and Mahinda Samayawardhana.
