Sri Lanka, June 4 -- A national awareness programme launched under the theme "A Nation United", A National Mission to eradicate narcotics and drugs as a national movement, declared islandwide by President Anura Kumara Dissanayake, was inaugurated at the Akkaraipattu Roundabout adjoining the bus stand.

The programme, organised by the Akkaraipattu Police, was attended by Akkaraipattu Assistant Divisional Secretary Rasith Yahya, Addalaichenai Assistant Divisional Secretary Fathima Nageesa, representatives of the Market Traders' Association, and members of social service organisations.
