Sri Lanka, May 4 -- Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa has extended his congratulations to Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) following their electoral victory in West Bengal.

In a post on social media, Premadasa stated that the mandate reflects the will of the people and highlights the enduring strength of democratic participation.

He also wished India continued progress and stability under the newly elected administration.
