Sri Lanka, Oct. 1 -- A cameraman of a media entity has assaulted one of the security officers attached to former President Ranil Wickremesinghe as he was leaving the Colombo Fort Magistrate's Court after the conclusion of a case hearing filed by the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) against the ex-President yesterday (30).

The attack has been carried out by the cameraman using his camera, hitting the head of the security officer who was protecting ex-President Wickremesinghe, as he was coming out of the court premises to leave accompanied by his security officers near the entrance gate of the Colombo Fort Magistrate's Court.
