Sri Lanka, May 20 -- A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed with Russia to build technical and investment cooperation and to improve Sri Lanka's railway services. Transport, Highways and Urban Development Minister Bimal Ratnayake represented Sri Lanka at the XVII International Economic Forum held in Kazan, Russia.
In parallel with this conference, a MoU was signed between the Transport Ministry of the Russian Federation and the Transport, Highways and Urban Development Ministry of the Government of Sri Lanka to provide technical assistance and enhance investment cooperation for the development of the rail transport sector.
