Sri Lanka, June 24 -- US Secretary of State Marco Rubio stated that Iran could benefit from new economic opportunities, including foreign investment, if it decides to move away from being a "revolutionary movement" and function as a conventional state.

Speaking to the media, Rubio said Iran would have the opportunity to achieve significant economic progress if it chooses such a path.

"They're going to have an opportunity to do incredible things in Iran," he said.

However, Rubio stressed that he could not guarantee that Iran would make such a decision.

"I'm not promising you that's the choice they're going to make. I'm saying if that's the choice that they make, then there will be opportunities," he said, adding that these opportunitie...
