Sri Lanka, Oct. 26 -- A modern palliative care centre, the 'Comfort Care Home,' was inaugurated in Sarasalai, Chavakachcheri on Saturday, within the Jaffna district, by Health and Mass Media Minister Dr. Nalinda Jayatissa. The facility aims to provide compassionate end-of-life care, pain management and dignity to patients navigating the most difficult phases of illness.

The home features 20 private rooms dedicated to palliative patients, offering round-the-clock nursing services, pain relief therapies, oxygen support, and tailored nutritional meals under medical supervision. To promote mental and emotional well-being, the centre also includes a dedicated spiritual garden.
