Sri Lanka, Aug. 14 -- The Public Administration, Provincial Councils and Local Government Ministry will launch revenue-generation projects worth Rs. 2,500 million at Local Government institutions countrywide, under the Government's Renaissance Cities (Punarudaye Purawara) national programme today (14).
Over 100 income-generating projects will be inaugurated, including shopping malls, fitness centres, concrete workshops, drinking water schemes, agricultural and rice-drying facilities, tourism developments, indoor stadiums, solar energy systems, pre-schools, children's parks, restaurants, funeral parlours, tourist bungalows, auditoriums, parking lots and electric vehicle charging and service centres.
