Rs 600 Mn worth medical equipment for new Deniyaya Base Hospital
Sri Lanka, July 14 -- Sri Lanka and India signed a Memorandum of Understanding to provide essential medical equipment valued at around Rs. 600 million for the proposed new Deniyaya Base Hospital.
Health and Mass Media Ministry Secretary Dr Anil Jasinghe, and Indian High Commissioner to Sri Lanka Santosh Jha signed the agreement in the office of the Health and Mass Media Ministry yesterday (13). Health and Mass Media Minister Dr Nalinda Jayatissa presided at the signing.
The Government of India will implement the initiative under its Aftermath of Cyclone Ditwah Project, which aims to restore healthcare infrastructure affected by the cyclone.
