Sri Lanka, Aug. 10 -- Two persons, including a woman, were killed in separate road accidents in Anuradhapura and Dummalasuriya on Tuesday, Police said.
A 43-year-old motorcyclist died after his motorcycle collided head-on with a bus at Shravasthipura on the Anuradhapura-Thalawa Road. Police said the motorcycle was travelling towards Thalawa when it collided with the oncoming bus. The rider sustained severe injuries and was admitted to the Anuradhapura Teaching Hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
The deceased was identified as a resident of Kiralogama. The bus driver was arrested in connection with the accident.
