Sri Lanka, Sept. 15 -- Deputy Minister of Economic Development Nishantha Jayaweera has urged Inland Revenue officials to adopt innovative approaches to widen the tax base and strengthen tax compliance, as the Government seeks to consolidate its fiscal position.

Addressing the 24th Annual General Meeting of the Inland Revenue Services Association in Colombo on September 10, the Deputy Minister said efficient revenue collection remained vital to maintaining fiscal stability and meeting the Government's financial targets.
