Sri Lanka, March 6 -- Fisheries, Aquatic and Marine Resources Minister Ramalingam Chandrasekaran stated in Parliament yesterday that he is requesting the fishing community to refrain from fishing beyond Sri Lankan territorial waters until the current problematic situation is resolved.Beaches & Islands

He made this statement while participating in the adjournment debate held on the forthcoming celebration of International Women's Day falls on March 8.

"We request our fishermen not to cross our sea borders until the current problematic situation is over. We request them not to go to the international sea border.
