Police Media Spokesman ASP F. U. Wootler stated that urgent steps and great efforts are currently being taken to bring these suspects back to Sri Lanka under a special programme implemented to repatriate suspects hiding and operating from overseas countries. He said that as a result, 68 drug and organised crime suspects with red notices were brought back to Sri Lanka in the three years 2024, 2025, and 2026 to date.
