Sri Lanka, April 27 -- The Road Development Authority (RDA), in a statement issued to the media, said it wishes "to strongly deny the false and misleading allegations publicly made via social media by SJB Parliamentarian Nalin Bandara which has been circulated on social media platforms regarding an alleged double payment of over Rs. 380 million to contractors.

"The claims are completely baseless and do not reflect the true facts. The RDA strongly denies the allegation that any double payment has been made. The RDA confirms that no such double payment has been made from its accounts, and no financial loss has occurred to the RDA.
