Sri Lanka, Aug. 14 -- Sri Lanka's top squash player Ravindu Laksiri has achieved the highest world ranking in the country's history, climbing to No. 106 after a strong performance at the HCL India Squash Tour 01 held in Jaipur, India recently.

Laksiri, who has been the flagbearer for Sri Lankan squash for over a decade, began his campaign with a confident 3-1 victory over India's Aryaveer Dewan in the opening round. He continued his fine form in the quarter-finals, overcoming Karim Aghuib 3-1 to secure a place in the semi-finals.
