Sri Lanka, Sept. 22 -- Royal College's centre forward Kithmina Ratnayake produced a masterclass, netting two decisive goals to guide his school to a 2-1 victory over arch rivals St Thomas' College Mount Lavinia, sealing the Orville Abeynaike Memorial Trophy for the third consecutive year in their 24th annual hockey battle at the International Astro Turf in Colombo.
Kithmina, known for his dazzling 3D dribbling skills, broke the deadlock in the third quarter against a Thomian side that played with aggression and skill. His second strike, just seven minutes from full time, put Royal firmly in control.
