SriLanka, June 20 -- Several spells of showers are expected in the Western, Sabaragamuwa and North-Western provinces today (20), according to the Department of Meteorology. Showers are also forecast in the Galle, Matara, Kandy and Nuwara Eliya districts.

Meanwhile, showers or thundershowers may occur at several places in the Uva and Eastern provinces, as well as in the Mullaitivu District, after 2.00 p.m.

The Department of Meteorology has urged the public to take adequate precautions against temporary localized strong winds and lightning that may accompany thundershowers.
