Sri Lanka, March 6 -- The report prepared by the Public Utilities Commission of Sri Lanka (PUCSL) on nine controversial coal ships has been submitted to the Sectoral Oversight Committee on Infrastructure and Strategic Development.South Asians & Diaspora
Sectoral Oversight Committee on Infrastructure and Strategic Development Chairman, MP S. M. Marikkar stated on Wednesday (4) that the report submitted by the PUCSL contains several issues including the loss incurred from coal imports and power generation.
The Committee Chairman had instructed the PUCSL to calculate the actual financial loss incurred due to the generation of electricity using low-quality coal and submit a report.
