Sri Lanka, Oct. 22 -- Transport and Highways Deputy Minister Dr. Prasanna Gunasena informed Parliament that proposals have been made for the construction of bridges in the Batticaloa District, specifically in the areas of Naripul Thottam, Kinnaiyadi, Sandiveli, Mandur, Ambilanthurai, and Kanchirankuda.Track Exec Orders

Responding to questions raised during the session for oral answers by Illankai Tamil Arasu Kachchi (ITAK) Batticaloa District MP Gnanamuththu Srineshan in Parliament yesterday (21), he said that there is no possibility of allocating funds in the 2027 Budget for the construction of the Naripul Thottam bridge in Batticaloa and that priority has been given to the construction of a select few bridges.
