Sri Lanka, June 2 -- The 114th Annual International Labour Conference (ILC) of the International Labour Organisation (ILO) started in Geneva yesterday (1).
This year's conference will be on the theme 'Advancing Social Justice, Promoting Decent Work'.
The conference which is regarded as the highest international forum to deliberate on and make decisions on global labour issues and policies, will bring together representatives of Governments, employers and workers from the ILO's 187 member states.
A tripartite delegation comprising representatives of the Government, employers and workers led by Deputy Labour Minister Mahinda Jayasinghe left to Switzerland on Sunday (31) to participate in the conference.
