Sri Lanka, Aug. 27 -- Professor Narada Fernando was appointed Vice-Chancellor of the Kelaniya University with effect from August 24.

The appointment was made by President Anura Kumara Dissanayake.

Professor Fernando who was attached to the University's Finance Department has extensive experience in the academic, administrative and governance spheres and professional experience in finance, banking, higher education, and institutional management.
