Private fuel companies jeopardising distribution - SJB MP
Sri Lanka, Oct. 7 -- Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) MP Nalin Bandara Jayamaha told Parliament yesterday (6) that fuel queues have emerged in the country due to private fuel companies restricting distribution.
He asked the government whether it cannot take steps to annul the agreements made with them and vest those assets back to the State as promised in the government's election campaign manifesto.
He said that private fuel companies United Petroleum Lanka, RM Parks, Sinopac and IOC who are not operating under the Ceylon Petroleum Corporation (CPC) as they are not part of the State-run system, have restricted distribution of fuel which has caused fuel queues in the country.Read Travel Guides
