Sri Lanka, Oct. 24 -- Prime Minister Dr. Harini Amarasuriya undertook high-level visits to China and India. At the invitation of the Chinese Government, the Prime Minister visited China from October 13 to 15. During her visit to Beijing, Dr. Amarasuriya delivered an eloquent speech at the "Global Leaders' Meeting on Women", an event jointly organised by China and UN Women.

She also held several high-level bilateral meetings, including with Chinese President Xi Jinping and Premier Li Qiang. Following the conclusion of her engagements in China, she proceeded to India. While there, she attended the NDTV World Summit.
