Sri Lanka, June 29 -- A Shramadana (community clean-up campaign) organised by the Presidential Secretariat in parallel with the National Dengue Prevention Programme was carried out on Saturday (27).

The initiative was implemented to encourage the support of Government institutions in maintaining a clean environment in order to prevent the rapid spread of dengue fever across the country.

The clean-up campaign was conducted from the vicinity of the Presidential Secretariat, along the Beira Lake and Baladaksha Mawatha, up to Temple Trees.
