Sri Lanka, May 8 -- The Special Presidential Commission of Inquiry appointed to investigate alleged irregularities and unlawful acts related to coal importation, electricity generation using coal, and connected activities from 2009 to April 16, 2026, has now been formally established, the Commission Secretary said.

According to the Secretary of the Commission, D.V. Bandulasena, the Commission is currently functioning from its office located on the 5th Floor of the Magistrate's Court Complex, Adhikarana Piyasa, Sanchi Arachchi Watta, Adhikarana Mawatha, Colombo 12.
