Sri Lanka, July 27 -- Venerable Banagala Upatissa Thera, Chief Incumbent of the Sanchi Chetiyagiri Vihara, President of the Sri Lanka Maha Bodhi Society, and Chief Sanghanayaka of Japan, stated that President Anura Kumara Dissanayake was invited to attend the 75th anniversary of the Sanchi Chetiyagiri Vihara in India.

Venerable Banagala Upatissa Thera said that he met President Dissanayake recently to extend the invitation for him to serve as the chief guest at the Sanchi Maha Bodhi Festival in November 2027, marking the 75th anniversary of the temple.
