Sri Lanka, March 3 -- President Anura Kumara Dissanayake issued a strong appeal to the international community today, urging all parties involved in the Middle East conflict to commit to a peaceful resolution as soon as possible.
Addressing Parliament on today (3), the President emphasized the urgent need for global guidance to de-escalate the current military situation.
Beyond the call for diplomacy, the President reassured the nation regarding domestic stability.
He stated that the government has accepted full responsibility for maintaining the supply of essential services to the public, ensuring that any disruptions caused by the regional conflict are mitigated through proactive state intervention.
