Sri Lanka, June 23 -- President Anura Kumara Dissanayake and visiting US Assistant Secretary of State for South and Central Asian Affairs Dr. Paul Kapur held discussions on bilateral relations, trade cooperation and regional developments during a meeting at the Presidential Secretariat yesterday (22).

During the meeting, both sides reflected on the 77-year relationship between Sri Lanka and the United States, noting that ties between the two countries have developed into a broad partnership encompassing trade, defence, investment, tourism and people-to-people exchanges.
