Sri Lanka, June 30 -- The Kadugoda Ancient Temple has organised a series of religious programmes in celebration of Poson Poya. A highlight of this year's festivities will be the display of a spectacular pandal (Thorana) depicting the "Chullasetti" Jataka story, which will be open for public viewing from yesterday(29) through July 1st.
The Poson Poya day observances had been commenced with a Milk Rice offering (Kiri Aahara Pooja) followed by Sil and Bhavana (meditation) programmes.
Poetic Dhamma sermon delivered by Ven. Hasalaka Sumitta Thera, and an "Asu Maha Srawaka Pooja" (offering to the Eighty Great Disciples) conducted by Ven. Welimada Dhammalankara Thera.
