Sri Lanka, Oct. 24 -- Authorities have uncovered critical details in the investigation of Ishara Sewwandi, the main suspect in the fatal shooting of organized crime leader Ganemulla Sanjeewa at the Aluthkade court complex, who recently escaped to India.

The Colombo Crimes Division traced the high-powered boat, 'Piriyanka', believed to have been used for Sewwandi's escape, off the coast of Araliya Point, Jaffna. The vessel is reportedly equipped with a 400-horsepower engine.
