Sri Lanka, Aug. 14 -- DIG in charge of the Traffic Control and Road Safety, W. P. J. Senadheera said that traffic officers have been instructed to take strict legal action against motorcycles that have their sound modified, have had their original design altered, and have a capacity greater than the unregistered capacity.

Addressing the media during a special Police press conference held yesterday (13) to raise awareness among the public about the updates on the 'Ratama Ekata' (A Nation United) National Campaign, he said that it has been observed by the traffic police that some people travelling in motorcycle groups are using drugs such as marijuana, ice, and cocaine and driving with a distorted mind.
