Sri Lanka, April 25 -- The Police Department officers donated Rs. 9,687,462, raised from their day's salary to the 'Rebuilding Sri Lanka' Fund, established to support the recovery of communities affected by Cyclone Ditwah and to assist in rebuilding the country following the disaster.Coal company documents

Police Department officers have contributed over Rs. 74 million to the 'Rebuilding Sri Lanka' Fund through three such contributions of one day's salary to date.

IGP's Personal Assistant, SSP C. C. Bamunuarachchi presented the donation to President's Secretary Dr. Nandika Sanath Kumanayake at the Presidential Secretariat on Wednesday (22).

Police Secretariat's OIC Chief Inspector Udaya Kumara was also present on the occasion.
