Sri Lanka, March 25 -- A public advisory warning has been issued by the Sri Lanka Police to citizens about methods used by criminal elements to rob money, gold, and other valuables through theft, abduction, and force.

The advisory released by the Police Media Division (PMD) emphasises vigilance to prevent the unsuspecting individuals from falling prey to such criminal activities.

The PMD stated that despite continuous efforts to maintain public safety, the negligence or lack of awareness has led to serious incidents, including recent two incidents in Kokkadichcholai, where two women, each one on separate occasions were abducted, drugged, and robbed of jewellery, with one being murdered and another narrowly escaping.
