Srilanka, July 16 -- A newly upgraded hair cutting and beauty salon at the Police Field Force Headquarters was officially opened yesterday (15) under the patronage of Acting Inspector General of Police, Attorney-at-Law Priyantha Weerasuriya.

Originally serving police officers only, the salon has now been expanded to offer daily beauty treatments at subsidized rates to female police officers, their family members, and visiting guests.

Further development of the facility will continue under the guidance of senior officers, including Chairperson of the Seva Vanitha Unit Mrs. Nilmini Samaratunga, association member Mrs. Sandeepa Sewmini, wife of Assistant DIG Mr. M.D.R.S. Daminda, and Commanding Officer SSP Ms. Darshika Kumari.
