Sri Lanka, Oct. 13 -- Following a tip-off yesterday, Arachchikattuwa Police arrested a father who intended to shoot his son with a pistol.
After receiving information a team of officers from the Arachchikattuwa Police had immediately launched a raid and arrested the suspect with the pistol in the Lower Atthanganaya area.
The arrested person had left his family and moved to another area about 35 years ago, when his son was 4-years-old.
The reason for the attempted shooting has not been revealed, but the suspect told the police that the locally-made pistol was given to him about 15 years ago, by a gangster in the Arachchikattuwa area.
