Sri Lanka, Jan. 8 -- The Academic Advisory Board of the National Institute of Education (NIE) has approved the removal of the controversial lesson from the Grade 6 English module, Prime Minister and Education, Higher Education and Vocational Education Minister Dr. Harini Amarasuriya informed Parliament yesterday (7).

She said that the approval for the removal had been granted by the Academic Advisory Board of the NIE on Tuesday (6).
