Sri Lanka, July 22 -- Parliament yesterday (21) approved motions to refer reports with findings of investigations submitted to it by the Committee on Public Accounts (COPA) and the Committee on Public Enterprises (COPE), to the Attorney General and Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption (CIABOC).

The referral of the COPA report with findings of the inquiry into the scheme to issue permits to Sri Lankans employed overseas to import electric vehicles using foreign remittances was approved by Parliament. The referral to the Attorney General for observations and action was made under Standing Order 119 (4).
