Sri Lanka, Sept. 11 -- Prime Minister Dr. Harini Amarasuriya told Parliament yesterday that the government is actively taking steps to reduce paper usage in Parliament and the public sector through comprehensive digitisation.

She stated this in response to a question raised by MP Raveendra Bandara regarding digitalisation and paper usage.

The total amount spent for 2023, 2024 and 2025 on Hansard reports, order books, order papers and other parliamentary printing activities provided to MPs and Ministers for use in the Chamber is as follows.

For the year 2023, Rs.45.3 million.Rs.58.7 million for the year 2024. Rs.73.1 million for the year 2025.
