Sri Lanka, Aug. 13 -- Minhaj Maha Vidyalaya, Palamunai coming under the purview of Akkaraipattu Educational Zone team won the Eastern Province Under -20 Boys Rugby championship beating Kinniya Central College team by 05 points to Nil in the final conducted by the Eastern Province Sports Department worked off at the Leelararatne Playground Kantale recently.

The Rugby tournament was held as a part of Provincial Level School Games Competition-2025. Ampara, Batticaloa and Trincomalee Districts school Rugby teams took part.

The final match was played between the Minhaj Maha Vidyalaya and Kinniya Central College . The Minhaj Maha Vidyalaya beat Trincomalee Thiriyai Maha Vidyalaya in the semifinal.
